The world's second largest manufacturer of respiratory device as well as the largest one in Taiwan, VADI Medical Technology Co., LTD held the ceremony for completion of second-phase new plant on 20^th December, 2022. The President, Mr. Chao-Chin-Huang also announced the succession, his son, Mr. Wei-Shin Huang, promoted to be the general manager from 2023.

VADI Medical Technology Co., LTD was established in 1993, specializing in respiratory medical devices and product, which received the most international with its own brand "VADI". Since 1999, it has successively obtained US FDA certification sales rights, IOS13485 certification, Taiwan GMP approval, EU CE certification, Japanese Ministry of Health and Welfare certification, Korean GMP certification and China CFDA,  totally 15 product registration and certificates. It’s respiratory medical devices and product have been sold in more than 70 countries around the world, with more than 250 distributors. Due to the aging of the population structure and the gradual increase in health care, the demand for non-invasive clinical medical devices has greatly increased, VADI has continued to update software and hardware. In order to enhance technological innovation, it invested 2 billion in the second-phase plant and expected to started the massive production and doubled revenue in 2024.

The President, Mr. Chao-Chin-Huang, said VADI started out as an OEM, but because of being often asked for price reduction and the profits were meager, they transformed passively into initiative and established their own brand "VADI".

Mr. Chao-Chin-Huang added that the difficulties to enter the supplying chain of medical device is getting more and more. It will take at least 5 years from the beginning as product development to pass various certifications, and it will take 5 more years to promote the product to the market. In addition, new medical regulations, such as the EU/MDR requires a large investment of resources, which is beyond affordability of the common companies. The future of medical devices and product will be led to the model of the winner-take-it-all.

Mr. Chao-Chin-Huang also announced at the ceremony that the succession, his son, Mr. Wei-Shin Huang.

Mr. Wei-Shin Huang, the new general manager, has been in the company for 18 years. He has joined and performed outstandingly in Sales, Research and Development, and Production departments and is familiar with all aspects in related field.

In his speech, Mr. Wei-Shin Huang said that in the future, there will be further research and cooperation with Biomedical Technology and Device Research Laboratory of the ITRI which will lead VADI to the field of smart medical devices and product.
